Collaboration with Betco® streamlines
Susquehanna University cleaning program
Supplying customers with the industry's finest
cleaning products means that they've got the right equipment for
their respective applications. Providing them with a resource management
program ensures that the same equipment is being used as efficiently
as possible.
As part of a new facility management collaboration
with Betco® Resource & Process Management, Susquehanna
Paper & Sanitary Supply recently provided the Charles B. Degenstein
Campus Center at Susquehanna University with a comprehensive Resource
& Process Management Action Plan designed to take the guesswork
out of what has become one of the school's largest facility management
tasks.
A facility which has undergone extensive renovation
within the past decade, the Degenstein Center is home to a large
dining hall, a number of conference rooms, a snack bar and bookstore,
the campus radio station, an art gallery, numerous student life
offices, and a Broadway-quality 450-seat performance hall. With
its new resource management program, Susquehanna University received
a comprehensive action plan, developed by Betco and Susquehanna
Paper, designed to better manage every aspect of the Degenstein
Center's maintenance resource structure.
An extremely precise program, the final action
plan details how much time should be spent on particular cleaning
tasks, what equipment should be used for each task, and exactly
how much money the school should be spending on its upkeep of the
Degenstein Center. In addition, the plan outlines step-by-step cleaning
procedures and lists which cleaning products would be most effective
for each procedure.
The only consulting program of its kind,
the Betco Resource & Process Management Program makes cleaning
and maintenance operations easy, safe, and cost-effective. The program
has been utilized by educational and healthcare facilities throughout
the country, and one major hospital saved over $800,000 in annual
management fees after initiating the Betco program. Other success
stories include a school which was able to reduce its cleaning product
budget by 23%, leaving room for an immediate $13,000 equipment purchase.
